be-do-have
Outcomes ultimately depend on the mindsets and values held by your people. This is best described in the Mettle Be-Do-Have model below:

One of the most challenging and important pieces in the framework for cultural change is the changing of the mindsets of your people. What people do is caused by who they are, their value and belief about what is important and how they feel (state of mind). How someone is at 'be' determines what they 'do' which determines the outcome of what they 'have'. The key is to raise the level of awareness of our mindsets in order to help break through barriers that may be holding them back.
All companies have a certain culture; there is no organisation that does not have a culture. The discerning factor for most organisations is that the culture has been formed through default and not through managed design.
The culture you have is producing the performance you have. A major influence on your culture is what leaders do in your organisation—how they behave. To change the culture to the desired culture, companies need to reshape how their leaders 'be' in order to change what they 'do' and thus 'have' the Desired Culture and performance results.
